KIDS needs you!
From a story written by a KIDS Center volunteer about how she came to volunteer: "KIDS Center was looking for volunteers...I'd seen their ads on TV for 'Darkness to Light" and every time I saw one I'd think maybe I should volunteer there...Finally something tugged at my heart and a little voice said, 'Shouldn't you serve the community with a position that improves and protects the lives of children?' "
KIDS Center is accepting applications for volunteers to help with office administration, fundraising events, prevention programs, community outreach, and ongoing family support!
Most volunteers complete an informative and engaging 19 hour volunteer training (held in February, June, and October). Afterwards, if they choose to volunteer, they submit fingerprints and references for a thorough background check. These steps are required for any volunteers wishing to work on-site.Other volunteers specifically interested in fundraising or marketing that is done off-site can donate professional services or volunteer with a shortened orientation.
