Nancy Heavilin, MD, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician and the medical director for KIDS Center. Dr. Heavilin graduated from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2010 and completed her residency in general pediatrics at the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital of Colorado (CHCO). Following residency, she spent two years as a primary care provider in CHCO’s Special Care Clinic, a medical home for children with complex medical conditions. In this role, she found that though these children missed a lot of “normal” childhood experiences, they were not spared abuse. She continues to harbor a special interest in caring for and protecting children with medical fragility.
In 2015 she moved to Central Oregon with her mountain man husband to work as a primary care provider for St. Charles Health System’s Family Care Clinics. She transitioned to her current role in January 2018 to focus solely on the multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of abused and neglected children.
In her free time, Dr. Heavilin loves to read, write, and craft with prodigious amounts of glitter.
