KIDS Center’s Boilerplate

Built by the community in 1994, KIDS Center is a local non-profit leading our region's response to child abuse. KIDS Center is where hope and healing begins for children and families who have experienced abuse. Law enforcement and child welfare investigators refer 400+ families to KIDS Center each year for independent child abuse evaluations, therapy and family advocacy. KIDS Center provides these services at no cost to families.

KIDS Center is a nationally-accredited Children’s Advocacy Center serving six counties in Central Oregon: Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook, Harney, Wheeler and Sherman. KIDS Center’s region spans nearly 20,000 square miles—one of the largest regions of any CAC in the nation.

KIDS Center also runs a robust training program to stop abuse before it starts. The nonprofit has trained more than 15,000 Central Oregonians in child safety.
