What is Healing Hearts?
KIDS Center’s annual Healing Hearts event raises awareness and vital funds to help Central Oregon children overcome abuse. This 90-minute luncheon draws hundreds of people from across our region. Our attendees are passionate about changing children’s lives and breaking the cycle of abuse.
Healing Hearts takes place in April, as part of the Blue Ribbon Campaign to prevent child abuse. This year’s Healing Hearts is Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Who can come?
Anyone can come to Healing Hearts! This event is free…you simply have to register to attend. (But bring your credit card, phone, cash or check so you can make a donation!)
What does my donation do?
Thanks to our sponsors, every dollar you give goes directly towards life-changing services for local children and families. Healing Hearts raises approximately $150,000 each year, and helps ensure hundreds of families receive child abuse evaluations, family support, and therapy at no cost.
Is this event really for me?
If you are new to Central Oregon—or just new to KIDS Center—this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how your community is working to end child abuse. Whether you’re a parent, a grandparent, someone who works with kids, or just someone who wants to make the world a safer place, Healing Hearts will change your perspective on what it takes to keep kids safe.
