Our Statement on COVID-19:
The health and safety of our community, clients and community partners is of utmost importance to us. As such, KIDS Center is taking immediate measures to increase social distancing and limit non-essential traffic to our campus.
To protect our employees, clients, and community partners, KIDS Center has adopted a policy to postpone all non-essential business meetings. In accordance, we have decided to postpone tours and trainings until further notice. We so appreciate your desire to learn more about our services and how we are supporting children and families impacted by abuse. We will be in contact to reschedule with you as soon as we are able. Thank you for your understanding.
We will resume tours and trainings as soon as we are able. To be placed on the waitlist for a training, please email Rachel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s Talk About It
Let’s Talk About It is a training that was developed by KIDS Center to help parents, caregivers, and even caretakers, such as preschool and daycare providers, learn about the different sexual developmental stages and how to begin to have conversations about body parts and body safety. But probably the most crucial part of the training is when we discuss what to do when we notice behaviors that lean towards being problematic in nature and determining when it is appropriate to reach out to professionals for support.
This is ideal for those who are raising or work with children between the ages of 0 – 12 years of age. Our goal is to encourage adults to have an open and honest relationship with children they care for so that they can create an environment to receive disclosures.
Who could benefit from this training?
- Groups of friends that are parents
- Parents in the same neighborhood and/or apartment complex
- Preschool or daycare staff
To schedule a training for a group contact KIDS Center at email@example.com or call 541-383-5958.
