Our children’s greatest risk for abuse doesn’t come from strangers but our friends and family--90% of all victims know their abusers.
A child’s safety is an adult’s job. We make sure our children wear seat belts and we walk them across busy streets. Why, then, would we leave the job of preventing child sexual abuse solely to children?
Experts estimate that 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday.
This interactive training provides participants with 5 steps to better protect children from sexual abuse. It gives adults tools for recognizing the signs of sexual abuse and responding to suspicious behavior. The course gives simple ways to minimize opportunities for abuse in organizations and our community.
